Omega Recruitment – Career Opportunity: Machine Learning Engineer (Hybrid – Cape Town / Johannesburg) is seeking a talented engineer to design and operationalise production-grade ML systems, architect robust data and compute infrastructure, and enable scalable deployments using Azure, Databricks, AKS, Spark, Airflow and MLflow.

You will collaborate with data scientists to bridge model development and production, applying MLOps for reproducibility and governance.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of data science or cloud-based ML experience.
• STEM degree required; Master's preferred.
• Strong Python or R proficiency and cloud-native ML tooling.
• Experience delivering ML models to production is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and operationalise production-grade ML systems in the cloud.
• Architect scalable data and compute infrastructure.
• Automate end-to-end ML pipelines from data ingest to deployment.
• Develop APIs and real-time inference services.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy models.
