Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Production Chemist to support operations in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. You will monitor chemical processes, troubleshoot issues, and optimize treatments to enhance yield and product integrity in an oil & gas setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as Production Chemist or similar in Oil & Gas or chemical processing.
• Strong understanding of petrochemical processes and analytical techniques.
• Proficiency in laboratory safety procedures and quality management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze process parameters for optimal chemical production and quality control.
• Develop and implement chemical treatment strategies for process optimization and asset integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve chemical-related issues affecting production efficiency and product specifications.
• Conduct laboratory analyses and interpret results to guide operational decisions.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to implement process improvements and new technologies.
