Placements24 is seeking an Early Childhood Educator in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. This role supports development of children aged 0-5 in a nurturing, engaging setting, with a hybrid work arrangement that blends on-site activities with occasional remote planning.

The successful candidate will create stimulating lessons, assess progress, collaborate with families and staff, and ensure health and safety standards are met. A relevant ECD qualification and First Aid certification are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum ECD qualification (NQF 4+).
• Experience with young children in childcare/education.
• First Aid certification required.
• Willingness to undergo background checks.
• Familiarity with SA ECD curriculum advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for 0–5 years.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress; provide feedback to parents.
