Zusammenfassung

Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Powertrain Calibration Engineer for our Randburg, Gauteng-based team. Hybrid role combining on-site access to advanced facilities with remote work flexibility. You will calibrate engine and transmission ECUs/TCUs to optimise performance, fuel economy, and emissions.

You will work with powertrain design and development teams, analyse large datasets, and participate in driveability testing to drive calibration improvements. Travel for testing may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• 3–5 years of automotive powertrain calibration experience.
• Proficiency with calibration tools such as ETAS INCA or dSPACE and CAN diagnostics.

Aufgaben

• Calibrate engine and transmission ECUs/TCUs for performance, fuel economy, and emissions.
• Develop and execute in-vehicle and on-dyno calibration test plans.
• Analyse engine/vehicle data and identify calibration improvements.
• Collaborate with powertrain teams to refine control strategies.
• Ensure calibration activities meet regulatory requirements and project deadlines.
• Document calibration processes and results.
