Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proficient On-Site Installation & Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team in Polokwane. This hybrid role blends hands-on field work with remote support to ensure high performance and reliability of complex systems for Limpopo region clients.

You will install, configure, and maintain equipment, diagnose hardware and software issues, and provide technical training and customer-facing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of field engineering or technical installation/maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and system integration.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Polokwane and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission new systems and equipment at client locations with precision.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs to guarantee optimal system uptime and performance.
• Utilize remote diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, complementing on-site efforts.
• Provide comprehensive technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance best practices.
• Maintain detailed service records, incident reports, and equipment logs for accurate tracking and analysis.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to relay field feedback and contribute to product improvements.
