Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project engineering or project management with a focus on mechanical systems in energy/infrastructure.
• Proven experience in managing complex construction or installation projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems used in power generation (turbines, pumps, piping, HVAC).
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (safety, environmental).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote and site-based team.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) or Professional Project Manager (PMP) certification is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the mechanical engineering aspects of energy infrastructure projects from conception through to completion.
• Review mechanical designs and specifications provided by engineering consultants and suppliers.
• Provide technical support and oversight during the procurement process for mechanical equipment and materials.
• Supervise on-site mechanical installation activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and construction plans.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks of mechanical work.
• Oversee the commissioning and testing of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulations.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources for mechanical deliverables.
• Liaise effectively with project managers, site teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues that arise during project execution.
