Placements24 is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join its automotive components division in East London. The role focuses on design, development, and testing of critical automotive parts and sub-assemblies, with a hybrid work model.

You will contribute to bringing innovative component solutions from concept to production, ensuring performance, safety, and durability to meet industry standards. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers passionate about automotive product development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably automotive.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or CATIA) and basic engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for automotive applications using CAD.
• Perform stress analysis and tolerance stack-up to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to optimize for mass production (DFM).
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
• Support prototype build and testing, and implement design improvements.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
