Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Logistics Coordinator for our Rustenburg client in North West. The role focuses on coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and liaising with suppliers, transporters and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role.
• Solid understanding of logistics operations, inventory management and supply chain best practices.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with logistics software and MS Office.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with the Rustenburg area is beneficial.
• Experience in the industrial supply sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the movement of goods, including scheduling shipments, tracking deliveries and managing transportation logistics.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and address discrepancies promptly.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
• Communicate with transport companies to arrange pickups and deliveries, negotiating rates where applicable.
• Prepare and process shipping manifests, customs forms and invoices.
• Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Resolve logistical issues or delays to minimise disruption to the supply chain.
• Collaborate with sales and production to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Maintain strong relationships with supply chain partners.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of logistics processes and procedures.
