Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Junior Web Developer Apprentice in George who will gain exposure to the full web development lifecycle. The role blends remote learning with in-office collaboration and mentoring from senior developers, offering structured milestones and potential for a permanent role based on performance.

You will work on real-world projects, learn HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and gradually implement front-end frameworks in a supportive environment with regular training sessions.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of web development fundamentals including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in both individual and group settings.
• A proactive attitude towards learning and self-improvement in coding.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior developers in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code for web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Participate in the development of user interfaces and user experiences for websites and applications.
• Learn and implement front-end frameworks such as React or Angular under guidance.
• Contribute to debugging and troubleshooting code to identify and resolve software defects.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to understand project requirements and deliver functional solutions.
• Engage in learning new technologies and development best practices through assigned tasks and training sessions.
