Placements24 is seeking a bright and motivated Junior Data Analyst in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Qualifications

• A recent graduate with a quantitative degree (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, CS, etc.).
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
• Experience with Python or R is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of large datasets from various sources.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with senior analysts and business units to understand data needs and translate them into analytical tasks.
• Support the development and implementation of data models and algorithms.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis processes and tools.
• Present findings and insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
