Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst for the Upington, Northern Cape role. This entry-level position offers training, mentorship, and hands-on experience with data extraction, cleaning, and analysis.

You will collaborate with senior analysts and cross-functional teams to turn raw data into actionable insights, supporting business decisions and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, math, CS, economics, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Residency or willingness to commute to Upington.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of large datasets from various sources.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Support senior analysts in developing statistical models and predictive analytics.
• Contribute to data quality checks and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
• Document data sources, methodologies, and analysis processes.
• Learn and apply new data analysis techniques and tools as required.
• Assist in preparation of presentations and reports for stakeholders.
