Job summary

Placements24 is hiring a Junior Data Analyst in Pietermaritzburg, SA. The role blends in-office collaboration with hybrid flexibility, ideal for a recent graduate keen on real-world data work. You will apply statistics, Excel, and visualization skills, learn SQL basics, and grow through hands-on projects in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Stats/Math/Econ/CS).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excel proficiency required; SQL experience is a plus.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI) is advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Keen eye for detail and deriving insights from data.
Understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

Assist senior analysts in collecting, cleaning, and organizing large datasets from various sources.
Perform basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Generate reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
