Job summary

The Recruitment Council is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to lead strategic planning, implementation, and operational management of a hybrid IT environment across the business. You will drive high availability, performance, scalability, and security of our systems.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in IT infrastructure with at least 5 in leadership, experience with Azure, on‑prem data centers, virtualization, storage, networking, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain infrastructure roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Oversee hybrid environment management: Windows/Linux, Azure, and on-prem data centres.
• Manage virtualization platforms, storage systems, and backup solutions.
• Oversee core network infrastructure; ensure security controls are in place.
• Maintain audit-ready landscape documentation per CMDB and change processes.
• Oversee procurement, deployment, and asset tracking of hardware.
• Ensure compliance with POPIA, GDPR, FSCA and security policies.
• Lead incident management via JIRA Service Management.
• Develop and maintain IT Continuity Plan and disaster recovery drills.
• Design CI/CD pipelines and IaC using Terraform, ARM/Bicep for hybrid deployments.
• Oversee connectivity, VoIP, and AV for hybrid meetings.
• Budget management, vendor payments, and SLAs; mentor engineers.
