Placements24 is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join the operations team in Bloemfontein. This hybrid role focuses on accuracy of inventory data across storage facilities and requires rigorous audits and proactive discrepancy resolution.

You will implement control procedures, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper storage, handling, and data integrity using IMS/ERP software.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of at least 2 years in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems (IMS) and ERP software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to perform physical counts and work effectively within a warehouse environment.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy of records.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and provide reports for management.
• Work with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper storage, handling, and tracking of all inventory.
• Operate and maintain inventory management software, ensuring data integrity.
