Qualifications

• Proven experience as an animator in game development or interactive media.
• Proficiency with Unity, Unreal Engine, Maya, Blender or Spine.
• Strong understanding of animation timing and motion dynamics.
• Ability to create both keyframe and procedural animations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, with a strong portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D and/or 3D animations for characters, UI elements, and environmental effects.
• Collaborate with game designers and artists to define animation styles and implement them effectively.
• Ensure animations are optimized for performance within game engines and interactive platforms.
• Integrate animations into the game development pipeline, working closely with programmers.
• Develop and maintain animation documentation and style guides for projects in Stellenbosch.
