Job summary

Placements24 in Mahikeng seeks a creative Animator to bring characters and scenes to life for film, games, and digital media. You will develop high-quality 2D or 3D animation, collaborating with a team of artists and designers to meet project goals and artistic direction.

We value a strong portfolio and proficiency in Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D, After Effects or Animate, plus a solid grasp of timing and motion dynamics. A degree or diploma in Animation is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with 2D or 3D animation showcased in a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D, Adobe Animate or After Effects.
• Solid understanding of animation timing, weight and motion dynamics.
• Ability to interpret storyboards/scripts to create compelling sequences.
• Experience working collaboratively in a team environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D or 3D animations according to project specifications and artistic direction.
• Develop character animation, motion graphics, and visual effects for various media.
• Collaborate with directors and art leads to ensure animation quality and consistency.
• Utilize animation software to produce fluid, believable motion.
• Incorporate feedback and iterate on animations as needed.
• Stay current with animation techniques, software, and industry trends.
• Ensure all assets meet technical requirements for final output.
