Placements24 is seeking a skilled Forex Trader for its Mossel Bay Investment Desk to manage currency exposures and execute trading strategies across global FX markets.

The role blends on-site collaboration with the investment team and remote flexibility, demanding sharp analytics, macroeconomic insight, and a proven ability to trade profitably under pressure.

You will work with portfolio managers and research analysts, use Reuters and Bloomberg, and contribute to profitability and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of direct FX trading experience (spot, forwards, options).
• Proven track record of profitable trading and risk management.
• Strong understanding of macroeconomic principles impacting currency markets.
• Proficiency with Reuters, Bloomberg and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute FX trades across currency pairs to meet objectives.
• Monitor markets, economic news, and geopolitical events for opportunities.
• Develop and implement trading strategies based on technical and fundamental analysis.
• Manage currency risk exposures and hedging strategies.
• Analyze trading performance and report key metrics.
