Placements24 is seeking a diligent Production Planner for our FMCG client in Mahikeng, North West. The role focuses on creating weekly and monthly production schedules, coordinating with procurement, production, and logistics to meet demand.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field and at least 3 years of production planning experience in high-volume manufacturing. Proficiency with planning software and ERP (SAP, Oracle) and strong analytical skills are

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role, preferably in FMCG.
Proficiency in planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain accurate production schedules to meet demand forecasts and optimize plant capacity.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to gather demand information and material requirements.
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, ensuring optimal stock levels.
Identify potential production constraints or risks and develop mitigation plans.
Generate production orders and ensure they are accurately communicated to the relevant departments.
Track production progress against schedules and implement necessary adjustments.
Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in planning and efficiency.
Prepare regular reports on production planning activities, performance metrics, and inventory status.
Work with logistics to ensure timely dispatch of finished goods.
Maintain clear and effective communication channels with all stakeholders involved in the planning process.
