Placements24 is seeking an organized Production Planner for our FMCG operations in Paarl, Western Cape. This hybrid role focuses on developing detailed production plans, coordinating across departments, and monitoring progress to ensure on-time delivery and cost-efficiency.

You will optimize schedules, forecast demand, and manage resources in a collaborative, hybrid environment, balancing on-site coordination with remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Production Planner or in a similar planning role, preferably FMCG.
• Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management, and capacity planning.
• Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams.
• Ability to manage responsibilities effectively in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and plant capacity.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, and operations teams to ensure availability of raw materials, equipment, and labor.
• Monitor production progress, identify delays or bottlenecks, and implement proactive solutions.
• Optimize resource utilization and minimize production costs while meeting quality standards.
• Analyze production data, generate reports on performance metrics, and identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate planning records and communicate schedule changes effectively to all stakeholders.
