Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Cleaning and Facilities Supervisor to manage cleaning operations and facility upkeep in Mahikeng. This hybrid role requires overseeing daily cleaning tasks, leading a team, and ensuring safety and cleanliness standards across the site and remote administrative tasks.

You will schedule, train staff, manage supplies, perform inspections, and liaise with facility management to address issues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or similar leadership role.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, methods, and equipment.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in facilities management.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work hybrid schedule with on-site presence in Mahikeng.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer literacy for reporting and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of cleaning personnel.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and work assignments.
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed according to established standards and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of facility areas to assess cleanliness and identify maintenance needs.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and consumables, ensuring adequate stock.
• Train new cleaning staff on proper techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities, inspections, and staff performance.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace.
• Liaise with facility management and other departments to address cleaning and maintenance issues.
• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning or facility-related requests.
