Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Facilities Sanitation Coordinator for their Nelspruit operations in Mpumalanga. The role combines on-site supervision with remote administrative tasks to maintain clean, safe facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, sanitation, or facilities management, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Good understanding of cleaning procedures and safety regulations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to coordinate tasks and manage a team effectively.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in Nelspruit; hybrid work accepted.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attention to detail and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily cleaning and sanitation schedules for all facility areas.
• Ensure that cleaning staff adhere to established protocols and quality standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment, ensuring timely reordering.
• Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness and identify sanitation issues.
• Train and orient new cleaning staff on procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, inventory levels, and staff performance.
• Respond to sanitation-related requests or concerns from staff members.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Assist in the implementation of new hygiene initiatives and protocols.
