Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Event Logistics Manager to oversee the planning and execution of major sporting events around Centurion. This hybrid role combines on-site coordination with remote strategy to ensure seamless delivery from concept to completion.

You will manage venues, transportation, accommodation, suppliers, and budgets, while ensuring safety and compliance in a high‑pressure Leisure & Sports environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in event management with logistics focus.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and deadlines.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Calm under pressure with good decision-making.
• Familiarity with event management software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute all logistical elements for sporting events.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee transportation and accommodation for athletes, staff, VIPs.
• Develop and manage event budgets with cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate safety, security, medical, and emergency services.
• Create detailed operational plans, timelines, and risk assessments.
