Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, or network design.
• Experience with logistics network modeling software (e.g., Llamasoft, AnyLogic) and advanced Excel modeling.
• Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools.
• Excellent understanding of transportation and warehousing operations.
• Ability to work independently and in a hybrid work environment.
• Knowledge of the Limpopo region's logistics infrastructure is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing logistics networks, including transportation lanes, distribution centers, and inventory levels for operations in Polokwane.
• Develop and utilize network modeling and simulation tools to evaluate alternative network designs and strategies.
• Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs, improve transit times, and enhance service levels.
• Collaborate with transportation, warehousing, and inventory management teams to gather data and implement recommendations.
• Perform cost-benefit analysis for proposed network changes and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key logistics network performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging technologies in logistics network design.
• Support strategic planning processes by providing data-driven insights into network capacity and requirements.
• Evaluate the impact of business changes (e.g., new product launches, market expansion) on the logistics network.
• Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at various levels.
• Contribute to the development of long-term logistics infrastructure plans.
