Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Contract Paralegal to support our legal team on a project basis in Klerksdorp, South Africa. The role combines remote flexibility with necessary in-office presence, offering varied assignments across contracts and litigation support.

Qualifications

Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal qualification.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal, with strong exposure to contract law or litigation.
Proficiency in legal research techniques and software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct legal research and factual investigation for ongoing cases and projects.
Assist in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and discovery requests.
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are accurately indexed and stored.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as directed.
Prepare summaries of depositions, interrogatories, and other legal materials.
Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination and exhibit management.
