Placements24 is seeking a qualified Civil Engineering Technician for a hybrid role in Paarl, Western Cape. You will assist with design, drafting, and maintenance of municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, water, and wastewater networks, working closely with Civil Engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Registration as Pr. Eng. Techn. or Candidate Technician with ECSA required.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in municipal civil infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and drafting of civil infrastructure plans (roads, water, sewer).
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents using CAD.
• Conduct site visits and assist with construction supervision and quality control.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and data analysis.
• Prepare project reports and documentation.
• Liaise with contractors, site personnel, and municipal officials.
• Ensure compliance with standards and regulations for municipal infrastructure.
• Support planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
