Job summary

Intx Insurance Software is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to own day‑to‑day end‑user support and be the custodian of systems enabling productivity. You will manage Identity, email, access, and devices while maintaining the Azure-based infrastructure and cloud security.

This mid‑level role reports to the Head of Business Systems and Operations and offers ownership beyond a traditional helpdesk. Some flexibility in working hours is expected due to international teams, with no fixed standby roster.

Qualifications

• Matric plus IT diploma/degree or CompTIA A+ and Network+
• 2-4 years IT support or systems administration experience
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 tenant and license management
• Experience with Azure services and portal
• Experience administering Exchange Online and SharePoint Online
• Experience managing Windows Server in cloud (Azure VMs)
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
• Networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, routing)
• Experience with business firewall management (Sophos or similar)
• PowerShell for tenant/admin tasks
• Good problem-solving and customer-support skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
• MD-102 or AZ-104 preferred, certification funded if not held

Responsibilities

• Own end-user support requests end-to-end including Exchange Online and MFA issues
• Manage user lifecycle across Microsoft Entra ID and 365 onboarding/offboarding
• Configure and maintain laptops and endpoint devices using Intune
• Administer SharePoint Online and Teams access and site structure
• Support VPN access and remote connectivity for staff
• Log, track and document incidents and escalate as needed
• Maintain certificate servers and IIS (periodic focus)
• Manage DNS hosting and records (Cloudflare)
• Administer firewall rules on Sophos appliances
• Monitor Azure resources and App Services/SQL Databases
• Contribute to IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives
