Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer to join the product integrity team in Randburg. The role focuses on ensuring quality, safety and performance of automotive components before integration into vehicles.

You will develop and execute test plans, identify defects, and collaborate with engineering to drive resolution, with a hybrid setup for on-site testing and remote documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer in automotive is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and best practices.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA test plans and cases for automotive components and software.
• Perform functional, performance, regression and integration testing.
• Identify, document and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to verify defect fixes.
• Analyze results, generate quality reports and assess product readiness.
• Support continuous QA process improvement within automotive context.
