The role is hybrid, requiring on-site work with some flexibility. You will work with robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, ensuring uptime and operational efficiency while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or relevant certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with automated systems, robotics, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Proficiency in reading electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting VSDs, servo motors and motion control components.
• Familiarity with SCADA and industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission new automated machinery and control systems per specs and safety standards.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on robotic, PLC-controlled, and CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues on production lines and repair promptly.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals for maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement upgrades and modifications to improve performance.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, parts used, and issues in CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations in workshop and production areas.
• Provide technical support and training to operators on proper use and basic maintenance of automated equipment.
