Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Systems Integration Engineer in Benoni, Gauteng. The role combines on-site collaboration with remote work to integrate avionics, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and flight control systems for advanced aircraft.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in aerospace/electrical/mechanical engineering and 5+ years of systems integration experience, with strong analytical and documentation skills to ensure safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft systems integration.
• Experience integrating multiple complex aircraft systems.
• Strong system engineering knowledge and methodologies.
• Familiarity with avionics, electrical power, flight control and hydraulics.
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a hybrid on-site/remote environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee integration of avionics, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and flight control systems.
• Define system architecture, interfaces, and requirements.
• Develop and execute integration test plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
• Collaborate with subsystem engineers, PMs, and design teams.
• Conduct system validation and verification against specs.
• Prepare technical docs including integration plans and test reports.
• Ensure compliance with aviation standards and certification processes.
• Participate in design reviews and provide guidance.
• Stay updated on emerging aviation technologies.
