Job summary

Bidvest Facilities Management is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to perform planned, preventive and emergency maintenance on air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and water reticulation units. The role emphasizes quality workmanship, safety compliance and timely fault rectification on site.

The ideal candidate holds a Grade 12, a Trade-Test in HVAC, and 5 years' relevant experience with strong MS Office proficiency. A valid SA Driver’s License is essential for on-site travel.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent with relevant trade and technical training
• Trade-Test in HVAC with several years of artisan experience
• Valid SA Driver’s License
• 5 years experience in air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and water reticulation maintenance
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook at an intermediate level
• Knowledge of the OHS Act and safety practices

Responsibilities

• Implement equipment service specifications per Client and Company requirements
• Install & commission air-conditioning and water reticulation equipment as specified
• Maintain air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and water reticulation equipment according to schedule or emergency faults
• Inspect facilities and report risks for rectification
• Ensure maintenance and fault rectification comply with legislation, SLA and job plans
• Ensure quality of work and timely completion of field requests
• Provide feedback to Supervisor and Client on restoration of operations
