Job summary

Takealot Fulfillment Solutions in Limpopo, Polokwane is seeking a Hub Manager to lead the facility's day-to-day operations and ensure efficient distribution. The role reports to the General Manager Primary Logistics, with responsibilities spanning cost control, on-time deliveries, and adherence to safety standards.

You will train and supervise staff, implement systems for accurate product handling, and collaborate with Senior Management to optimise performance and service levels.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in logistics or supply chain roles.
• Diploma or degree in Logistics/Supply Chain preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced distribution environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall running of the facility and related functions.
• Ensure operations costs align with the budget.
• Ensure on-time delivery of product to/from the distribution centre.
• Implement and use systems to identify and distribute/deliver product accurately.
• Maintain efficient warehousing with timely movement of product.
• Extract data and generate reports for performance tracking.
• Enforce company policies and procedures consistently.
• Train and supervise employees in their duties.
• Implement and maintain health and safety standards.

This position reports to the General Manager Primary Logistics

Your responsibilities will include

• Be responsible for the overall running of the facility and all other secondary roles which flow from this function
• Ensure operations costs are in line with budget
• Ensures the on-time delivery of product to/from the distribution centre
• Responsible for implementation and effective utilization of system(s) which will ensure that all product within the warehouse and/or entering or leaving the warehouse is accurately identified and distributed/delivered timeously
• Ensure efficient warehousing with timeous movement of product
• Extracts data and generates reports which will assist in performance tracking and decision making
• Ensure consistent application of Company policies and procedures
• Trains and supervise employees to carry out the functions under their control
• Implement and maintain health and safety standards
• Must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of the work area and other company standards
• Identifies value-creation opportunities for the company in the movement and distribution of the product
• Works closely with senior management and Human Resources to resolve issues and ensure quality service to our customers
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, or replacements for machines
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 8 or more years of related work and knowledge, required
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain advantageous
