Job summary

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OHSA and construction regulations on site.
• Perform HIRA, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Manage permits-to-work for hot work, heights, excavations, and more.
• Conduct toolbox talks and HSE inductions for project teams.
• Monitor contractor safety and manage environmental compliance.
• Prepare inspection, incident and audit reports monthly.

Duties

1. Health & Safety Legislation Knowledge
Thorough understanding of:
Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
Construction Regulations

Client-specific HSE requirements
2. Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)
Conduct risk assessments.
Identify workplace hazards.
Develop mitigation measures.
Review method statements.
3. Incident Investigation
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Perform root cause analysis.
Prepare investigation reports.
Recommend corrective actions.
4. Permit-to-Work Management
Manage permits for:
Hot work

Electrical isolation
5. Construction Safety Management
Monitor construction activities.
Ensure compliance with approved method statements.
Conduct site safety inspections.
6. Generator Installation Safety Knowledge
