Chainlink Recruitment are assisting a client in Kimberley to fill multiple HSE Officer positions on contract-based work across civil, mechanical and electrical projects. The roles require meticulous health, safety and environmental compliance on site and the ability to work independently on remote project sites.
Applicants should hold a recognised HSE qualification (SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, SHEQ Diploma or similar), have at least 3 years’ experience, and strong knowledge of the OHS Act.
Our client is seeking experienced HSE Officers available for contract‑based work in the Kimberley region. The successful candidates will support Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across major Civil, Mechanical and Electrical project disciplines, ensuring safe operations, risk mitigation and adherence to statutory requirements.
This role requires strong field experience, solid HSE knowledge, and the ability to work independently on project sites.
Site Safety Compliance — Ensure compliance with OHS Act and project‑specific safety requirements
Risk Assessments — Conduct baseline, issue‑based and continuous risk assessments
Safety Files — Compile, maintain and update project safety files
Incident Management — Report, investigate and close out incidents, near misses and non‑conformances
Contractor Control — Monitor contractor compliance across civil, mechanical and electrical activities
Site Inspections — Perform daily site inspections and enforce corrective actions
HSE Training — Conduct inductions and toolbox talks
Documentation & Reporting — Maintain accurate HSE records and submit reports to management
Emergency Preparedness — Ensure emergency procedures and equipment are in place and functional
Recognised HSE qualification (SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, SHEQ Diploma or similar)
Minimum 3 years’ experience as an HSE Officer
Experience in Civil, Mechanical and/or Electrical project environments
Strong understanding of OHS Act and construction-site safety
Ability to work independently on remote project sites
Clear communication and reporting skills
Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
Must be based near Kimberley or willing to work in the region
