Job summary

SKILLS CONNECTOR in Swellendam (South Africa) is seeking a dedicated HR and payroll professional to join our team. You will manage client payrolls using PaySpace, handle tax obligations and ensure statutory compliance.

Responsibilities include internal HR duties, contract drafting, policy development, recruitment, onboarding, disciplinary matters and staff welfare, with strict adherence to SA labour legislation.

Qualifications

• A qualification in HR Management, Labour Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of HR and payroll administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of SA labour legislation, payroll, PAYE, UIF and COIDA matters.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage clients' payroll using PaySpace.
• Administer employee tax obligations, including EMP201 returns, EMP501 reconciliations and IRP5 certificates.
• Manage UIF and other statutory registrations, amendments and obligations.
• Handle COIDA and Compensation Fund matters for clients.
• Provide payroll advice and support to clients.
• Manage the complete HR function for internal staff.
• Draft employment contracts and administer and maintain employee records.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding and termination processes.
• Support management with staff-related matters.
• Handle disciplinary processes, grievances and other labour-relations matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour legislation.
• Promote positive employee relations and support staff wellbeing.

WE REQUIRE:

• A qualification in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in HR and payroll administration.
• Good knowledge of South African labour legislation, payroll administration, PAYE, UIF, other employee tax requirements and COIDA/Compensation Fund matters.
