Based out of our Johannesburg office, as a Sales Specialist, you will lead pursuits within your area of focus, collaborating closely at times with Account Managers and providing deep specialist expertise across the sales team. You will drive proactive campaigns, build a strong pipeline, and take opportunities from prospecting to close. You may own named accounts, cover a designated territory, or focus on a high‑potential competitive account.
Leadership and initiative in successfully driving specialty sales in accounts – prospecting, negotiating and closing deals. Contribute to new ideas, methodologies, and cross‑functional initiatives. Negotiates and drives deals to ensure successful closes and high win rate. Represent HPE professionally with customers and partners at all levels. Exercise independent judgment and provide mentoring to junior team members.
Work on HPE’s larger and more strategic accounts. Engage directly with customers at all organizational levels, including executives. Collaborate with external partners and contribute to customer roadmaps. Handle higher‑than‑average quotas and potentially lead project management efforts.
