Job summary

HospitalityandOutdoor is seeking a hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead lodge housekeeping operations, supervise Room Attendants, and uphold premium cleanliness standards in a luxury safari lodge environment.

You will manage guest requests, ensure safety and compliance, maintain records, and drive service excellence through strong leadership and attention to detail in a physically active outdoor setting.

This live-in role requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operational Supervision: Supervise daily housekeeping operations on assigned lodge areas; allocate rooms and deep-cleaning tasks; oversee room-making and turndown service; inspect rooms and back-of-house areas; ensure SOPs and lodge standards are followed.
• Guest Service & Quality Control: Deliver professional service; manage guest requests and VIP arrangements; resolve concerns; maintain knowledge of room categories and facilities; ensure consistent quality and guest satisfaction.
• Administration & Coordination: Manage lost and found; report maintenance issues; support training and performance monitoring; maintain housekeeping records and communication.
• Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations; promote safe use of equipment and chemicals; maintain interdepartmental relationships.
