Job summary

EDITION Hotels in Cape Town is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to respond to guest repair requests and perform preventive maintenance on building systems. The role requires basic auto and hand tool proficiency and the ability to troubleshoot MEP systems with supervision as needed.

The ideal candidate has hotel engineering experience, is able to work with minimal supervision, and can carry out repairs across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC domains.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with team and supervisors to communicate daily activities.
• Assist with general housekeeping and engineering-related duties.
