Job summary

Accor is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our Cape Town property. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will oversee all maintenance activities, lead a team of technicians, and uphold safety and quality standards to enhance guest experience and protect the hotel's reputation.

You will implement preventive maintenance, supervise external contractors, manage budgeting and costs, prioritise tasks, and work collaboratively with Housekeeping and Front Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum Matric (Grade 12) required.
• Proven maintenance management experience in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Budgeting, cost control and vendor coordination experience.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and complete all general maintenance in a timely and efficient manner.
• Develop and oversee a preventative maintenance plan for the property.
• Coordinate with external contractors providing a 24-hour service.
• Manage department expenses and ensure profitability within budget.
• Record costs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Lead and develop maintenance team through training and supervision.
• Ensure high safety and quality standards and guest-facing service.
