HotelJobs in Sandton is seeking a hands-on Handyman to join the maintenance team. The role involves general repairs, preventative maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.

The candidate should have a recognised maintenance qualification with 1–2 years of hotel or hospitality experience. You will perform plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical tasks and support daily operations as needed.

Formación

• Recognised maintenance-related qualification.
• 1–2 years’ maintenance experience in hotel/hospitality.
• Experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical repairs.
• Good knowledge of electrical fixtures and safety requirements.
• Strong English communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Physically able to perform manual maintenance tasks and work evenings/weekends when required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel.
• Carry out plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical and facility maintenance tasks as required.
• Repair plumbing fixtures and fittings.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks allocated by the Maintenance Manager.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete allocated repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Use appropriate tools, materials and safe working methods when performing maintenance tasks.
• Follow the hotel’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
• Keep workshops and maintenance areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Assist with other maintenance duties according to operational requirements.
