Job summary

Career Custodians is seeking a diligent Finance/Accounts role in Cape Town to manage revenue, journals, daily banking, and stock controls. You will reconcile cards, cash, and loans, prepare income statements, and assist in financial packs.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12 with a financial qualification and at least 2 years in hospitality, with intermediate Excel and familiarity with Pastel Evolution and Micros. This on-site role offers growth within a hospitality finance team.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and relevant financial qualification.
• 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.
• Microsoft Excel (intermediate) and familiarity with Pastel Evolution and Micros.

Responsibilities

• Compiling and capturing revenue and month-end journals.
• Daily banking and capturing bank statements.
• Credit card and cash reconciliation; loan accounts reconciliation.
• Prepare income statements and maintain fixed assets register.
• Close house accounts and assist with compiling financial packs.
• Ensure stock procedures and stock checks across departments.
• Manage staff deductions and attendance records.
