Placements24 is seeking a reliable and caring Childminder to provide exceptional care for children in a home setting in Welkom. You will manage daily routines, engage in age-appropriate activities, and help children thrive in a warm, nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate is patient, responsible and passionate about early childhood development, with references from previous childcare roles. Strong communication with parents and knowledge of safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Childminder or Nanny is essential.
• Knowledge of child development and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• References from previous childcare positions will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for children in a home-based environment.
• Plan and engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and other daily routines.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Communicate regularly with parents about the child's day and development.
• Assist with light household duties related to the children's care, such as meal preparation and tidying play areas.
