Job summary

SA Metal in Cape Town is seeking a highly capable Sales/Buying Administrator to support a fast-paced scrap metal team. The role requires accurate data handling, strong Excel skills, and reliable multitasking to drive sales and procurement activities.

You will manage high-volume workloads, maintain excellent customer service, and contribute to reporting and data integrity. The position offers a permanent, full-time role with standard hours and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a high-volume administrative role.
• Experience in fast-paced sales and customer service environments.
• Proficient with Excel, able to handle large datasets, use formulas, and perform basic reconciliations.
• Proven track record of high accuracy in data capture and reporting.
• Experience working to strict deadlines in time-sensitive environments.
• Proven reliability with consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Support the scrap metal buying/sales team with administrative tasks.
• Manage a large, high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy.
• Deliver strong customer service focus to internal and external stakeholders.
