Job summary

Dana Spicer Axle South Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a CNC machine operator to efficiently run and adjust equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will monitor systems, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safety standards are met while troubleshooting to keep production moving smoothly.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of CNC experience and an N2 in Electrical/Mechanical, with a Matric showing Math/Science/Technical subjects being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years CNC machine control experience.
• 3 years in a technical manufacturing environment.
• Matric plus relevant technical qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate Ziess machine and set the machine per layout.
• Make adjustments on the machines according to the layout.
• Use line gauges and interpret machine capability readings.
• Perform basic fault finding and support production.
• Adhere to safety standards and endure good health and fitness for duty.
• Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete a technical test.

Job description

In this role, the incumbent is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of machinery or equipment. The position requires monitoring the systems, performing routine maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards and troubleshooting issues to maintain smooth operations.

Role & Responsibilities

• Operate Ziess machine
• Setting of the machine
• Make adjustments on the machines according to the layout
• Able to use line gauges
• Able to interpret machine capability readings
• Basic fault finding
• Assist with any adhoc requests to support production
• Technical Qualification, N2 as a minimum in Electrical/Mechanical
• Matric with (Math’s, Science & Technical subjects) is advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years CNC machine control experience
• 3 years experience in a technical manufacturing environment
• Minimum height of 1.7 mandatory operational requirements
• Excellent health and physically fit for duty
• A self-starter who has the ability to prioritize and can work with minimum supervision.
• Results focus and customer orientated.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to write a technical test
