Job summary

The Apex Group in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Specialist-Hedge Funds to support the Fund Accounting division for SA priced hedge funds. The role focuses on improving processes through automation, analytics and technology, while coordinating with ICT and delivering end-to-end projects.

A background in accounting or data analytics, plus 4–5 years in financial data within investment spaces, is preferred. Strong Excel and system skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in improving daily and monthly Fund Accounting processes using automation, robotics, AI and related tech.
• Strong data analytics capabilities and understanding of investment product knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Improve Fund Accounting's daily and monthly processes using automation, robotics, AI and other technology.
• Assist with bespoke processes and the standardization of Fund Accounting.
• Develop processes to enable automation of processing volumes for SA priced funds.
• Act as primary liaison with ICT regarding applications used by Fund Accounting and development requirements.
• Manage project delivery including end-to-end testing and implementation within Fund Accounting.
• Provide solutions for complex client requirements including engagement, investigation and testing.
• Gain experience with various fund types locally and internationally.
