The ideal candidate has extensive HGV experience, a valid SA license (Code 10/EC1, Code 14 endorsements) and a PrDP, with a strong safety record and excellent communication skills. Background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Valid South African driver's license with Code 10/EC1 and Code 14 endorsements.
• Valid PrDP required.
• Extensive HGV experience and a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of North West road networks.
• Ability to work independently on long-haul schedules.
• Physical ability for loading/unloading.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate logs of working hours, mileage, and delivery details.
• Uphold a professional image when interacting with clients and the public.
• Adhere strictly to safety regulations and company protocols.
• Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines and maintain optimal schedule adherence.
• Respond promptly to dispatch instructions and communicate any delays or issues proactively.

Requirements

• Valid South African driver's license with Code 10/EC1 and ability to obtain Code 14/EC endorsements.
• Valid PrDP (Professional Driver's Permit) is mandatory.
• Significant proven experience operating Heavy Goods Vehicles.
• A spotless driving record and a history of safe driving practices.
• Extensive knowledge of road networks within North West province and surrounding areas.
• Proficiency in securing different types of cargo.
• Ability to work independently and manage schedules over extended periods.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unforeseen circumstances.
• Good physical health and the capacity to handle manual loading/unloading tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
