Placements24 is seeking a skilled Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Driver to join our client’s transport division in George, Western Cape. You will operate large commercial vehicles, maintain delivery schedules, and uphold high safety and professionalism standards.

This role covers long-haul and local deliveries, cargo integrity, and accurate logbooks in a dynamic team environment. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of HGV experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to read shipping

Qualifications

• Valid Code 14 driver’s license with PrDP required.
• Minimum 5 years’ HGV driving experience, long-haul preferred.
• Strong mechanical understanding and vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Good knowledge of George/Western Cape road networks.
• Flexibility to work weekends/public holidays when required.
• Able to read shipping documents and route plans.
• Clean driving record and commitment to safety.
• Physically fit for climbing, lifting and maneuvering.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy goods vehicles safely on assigned routes in and around George.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of road networks in the George area and the broader Western Cape.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays if required.
