Placements24 is seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Operator to join our team on projects around Soweto. You will operate excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders and cranes, ensuring earthmoving and material handling are performed safely and efficiently.

This role emphasizes safety, accuracy and teamwork, with pre-operation checks, routine maintenance and coordination with site supervisors to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Equipment Operator on construction sites.
• Valid licenses and certifications for operating heavy machinery.
• Proficiency in operating excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, etc.
• Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety procedures.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently according to project requirements.
• Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Read and interpret site plans and grading stakes to ensure accurate operations.
• Transport materials and earth across construction sites as directed.
