Placements24 is seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Randburg. This hands-on role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy‑duty machinery to minimize downtime and maximize productivity on large-scale projects.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, maintain records, and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical problems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Red Seal or equivalent trade qualification is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy‑duty equipment.
