Job summary

Edge Executive Search Group seeks an experienced Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a multidisciplinary healthcare practice in Sandton. You will drive efficiency, revenue and patient experience through hands-on management of workflows, billing and governance.

The role requires operational discipline, people leadership and strong analytics using Excel and practice management systems such as GoodX and Healthbridge to identify opportunities and deliver measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing a multidisciplinary medical practice.
• Experience with medical billing and claims processing.
• Proven ability in revenue optimisation and debtors management.
• Familiarity with GoodX Desktop/Web and Healthbridge.
• Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to lead teams and manage rostering.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of a multidisciplinary healthcare organisation.
• Optimise workflows, patient flow and operational standards.
• Take ownership of medical billing and claims processing.
• Manage ERA reconciliation, credit control and revenue-cycle optimisation.
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue and reduce outstanding debtors.
• Lead, roster, coach and support administrative and operational teams.
• Manage staff scheduling and performance with accountability.
• Handle escalated patient concerns and support service recovery.
• Drive continuous improvements in patient care and satisfaction.
• Implement and monitor SOPs, policies, healthcare compliance and controls.
• Develop and maintain quality and compliance processes.
• Use reporting, analytics and BI to identify problems.
• Use GoodX and practice management systems to support decisions.
• Prepare and interpret information using Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
