Job summary

Mediclinic Welkom is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the technical team and optimise maintenance across the facility. Under supervision of the Technical Manager, you will manage building and equipment maintenance, drive quality management, continuous improvement and HSE practices in relation to engineering services.

You will lead on-site contractors, manage budgets, develop project plans, mitigate operational risk, and foster stakeholder relations while ensuring assets stay

Qualifications

• NQF level 6 Engineering qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (heavy current) with Thermodynamics and Electro Technology passed at 2nd-year level.
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
• Minimum 4 years' post-graduate engineering experience with HVAC and auxiliary electrical power supplies exposure.
• Experience within a facility management environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management and maintenance of building, plant and equipment.
• Manage and support technical projects within the Hospital.
• Manage and mitigate Technical Operations risk within the Hospital.
• Oversee and manage on-site contractors/suppliers in the Hospital.
• Ensure quality management and continuous improvement within Technical Operations.
• To manage stakeholder relations and client service within the technical environment at Mediclinic.
• Lead and manage the people in the technical team.
• Manage and control department budget/finances.
